A discussion meeting on human rights, democracy, and elections was held today at 5:00 PM at Toynabi Circular Road, Motijheel, organized by “Media of Rural Generation.”
The President of the organization, Tareq Mahmud, joined the event virtually from the United States (USA) as the chief guest and delivered his speech through Zoom.
In his speech, he stated that genuine democracy cannot be established without ensuring human rights. He emphasized that fair, acceptable, and participatory elections are the foundation of a democratic state system, and in this regard, citizens’ awareness and responsible roles are important.
Members of Media of Rural Generation, along with distinguished individuals from various professions and sectors of society, attended the discussion meeting. The speakers exchanged views on the protection of human rights, the practice of democratic values, and transparency in the electoral system.
