Bangladesh’s total number of registered voters has crossed 128.3 million following the latest update to the electoral roll. On Thursday, the Election Commission (EC) published the final voter list, taking the total number of voters to 128,323,240.

Saiful Islam, director of operations at the EC’s National Identity Registration Wing (NIDW), said the updated list came after the 13th parliamentary polls. Before the national election, the EC had published the previous final voter list on Nov 18, when the total number of voters stood at 127,695,183.

After voting was held on Feb 12, the voter registration process continued. The commission included those who registered by Mar 31 in the updated final list released on Thursday.

EC officials said the latest list included people who applied for voter registration after Nov 24, 2025 and were born on or before Jan 1, 2008. More than 628,000 voters were added within around one and a half months. Under the EC’s schedule, the draft voter list was published on Apr 20, while applications for corrections or transfers were accepted until May 3. The deadline for resolving those applications ended on May 6.

According to the final list, there are now 65,212,731 male voters, 63,109,266 female voters, and 1,243 third gender voters.
